In an as yetunspoiled area of Tuscany, between Volterra and the Mediterranean sea lies the small village of Micciano. The village is surrounded by thick forests and is dotted with picturesque places that are rarely frequented by tourists. Well-known cultured centres such as Florence, Siena and San Gimignano are within easy reach for day-trips. The coast featuring broad, sany beaches can be reached via a quiet scenic route within 35 minutes.
The Podere lies about one kilometer outside the village Micciano. Micciano is an artistic Toscan village, situated on the top of a hill, 473 meters above sea level. The village lies above the rivers Trossa and Cecina and offers a panoramic view on Libbiano, the forest of Monterufoli, Pomarance and Volterra. You can even see the Mediterranean of Cecina and in the north the tops of the Apennines. Historical sites are not available in Micciano, but this is not necessary as the environment is full of art and history.
